How to Make Black Forest Cake:

  1. Prepare the cake: Mix your dry ingredients in a bowl. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add in the eggs and vanilla.
  2. Bake the cake: Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Bake the cake for 30-35 minutes at 175°C. When done, let it cool before cutting.
  3. Assemble the cake: Slice the cakes into layers. Soak each layer with some cherry syrup (don’t drown it, just a light drizzle). Layer whipped cream and cherries between the layers.
  4. Decorate and serve: Top with more whipped cream, cherries, and a sprinkle of chocolate shavings if you’re feeling extra fancy.
